The Tubman Seminar Series invites interested students and scholars to attend a

seminar by Dr. Modesto Amegago of York University on the subject of the West

African drumming and the linguistic applications within that tradition.

We welcome participants to come and learn more about

the traditional role of drumming and the meanings veiled within this activity

through Dr. Modesto’s insights. Everyone is encouraged to come.
