The Tubman Seminar Series invites interested students and scholars to attend a seminar by Dr. Tim Stapleton of Trent University concerning the lengthy tradition of African trackers hired from approximately 1800 into the present by various persons, European and African alike. The topic concerns the memory of hunting traditions and its dissemination beyond lineages, and is entitled, "A History of Tracking in Southern Africa"

Dr. Stapleton spoke at 305 York Lanes on Tuesday, February 8th, between 12:00 noon and 1:30. We welcome participants to come and learn more about the intersections of memory and outside influences in South Africa. Everyone is encouraged to come and learn more!
